The J1 visa is issued to students who have traveled to the United States for the reason for training or some education. Under Clause J1 visa for people traveling to the United States in the J1 visa are required to remain in the country of origin for the next two years after completion Training in the United States for which the visa was issued first.

The rationale for this requirement adopted by the U.S. government is that the person who has acquired knowledge and advanced skills in the United States under the exchange program visitor, he or she must return to their country of origin and to know people there. But there could be many reasons and needs because the visitor can travel. In these situations there is a provision waiver of such provision at the discretion of the Government of the United States.

The J1 visa waiver is properly for the people who fall into any of the above categories.

1. As medical graduates who were originally in States United States and now the entrance to the completion of education is to remain in the United States.
2. People are citizens and foreigners came to the United States. For the purpose of participating in a program funded by the government, the same would also applicable to programs funded by other countries in the United States or other international organizations.
3. People who are citizens foreigners, who attended the exchange program and are now obliged to return to their countries of origin, but not knowing it would be of little importance or not because of lack of resources there.
4. If the J1 visa holder may obtain a notice of compliance or a certificate of no objection from the government his country.
5. If the project is J1 visa holder work is relevant to the federal government or its institutions, in this case, the federal government could decide not to remove the clause.
6. If compliance with Clause J1 visa would be subject to the spouse and children of the many difficulties and back problems then the matter could be reviewed for exemption. But in this situation, children and spouse of the person must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. atleast.

It would be a host family in New Zealand, an exchange student United States?

I'm going to New Zealand one year to study and I wondered how it would be accepted. Does my being to sideline American for me? Yes, I am A junior (who is in Grade 11 in the U.S.) I am not sure whether the level 12 or 13 in New Zealand. I do not know where I will stay, because my family come get me, I live with them wherever they are.
