What would you use for rich Internet applications with databases? ?

Strong connection user account database Insurance is most important. The "wealth" is that of secondary applications. I can write decent interface with PHP / DHTML / Javascript, but I 'm not familiar with how best to achieve them. So far I have tried: Oracle Apex. I like it. The Oracle database is smaller free to use, but guests who are providing a little expensive. Running myself would require me to be more familiar with the Web server security, some something else that I'm not on an equal footing. Adobe Flex. I like the look of this. The drawback, of course, is that users need to have Flash installed. Suggestions? If you have any pointers which may help me learn to better protect my Internet applications or server site itself (I used Apache in the past), please send them also. Maybe write my own implementation or the use of Apex will be the best bet if you can learn to do things safely. Thank you!

I am not a security officer network, so have no advice to give on this – but just a comment about having installed Flash – Flash is the most comprehensive plug-in that is available in 99% of users' systems, so it would not discourage using Flex. I am interested in using flex yo – good luck.
