How can I keep my internet connected in standby mode?

I am preparing a web server for a couple of things, my server CSS, CS 1.6 server webcamXP my web server and my server, I not only want you to go on a break of all, no way I can do that?

hmm ... every night I turn the computer into standby mode rather than turning off and stay connected. I download stuff at night and its done in the morning =] You're sure you lose the connection in standby mode? try to download something, put it in standby mode and see if the download is complete when you turn it on.
