Windows Ultimate, several licenses?

Ok, in the web development work I do and because we must test our pages on multiple platforms i installed Windows 2007 PC. I have Vista business on my XP machine and put in the virtual machine. The version of XP you have is a company that allows you to install 100 units or less. So I had no problems with the registration of the Windows version. Now the question I have, I can do on my computer at home, only I have a XP license? can my host operating system and my virtual XP operating system and have the same license or operating system from Microsoft say that my Virtual PC on an already isntalled (my host machine)? If I have to buy 2 because of Virtual PC 2007 which is ridiculous ... Also, I read somewhere that last window allows you to install multiple virtual machines, is this true? On the other hand, is that only Microsoft Virtual PC or VMware is also working with?? Thank you,

Well, the EULA of Windows Vista Business and Ultimate are the following excerpt: "Using virtualization technologies. You can use the software installed on the licensed device within a virtual (or otherwise emulated) hardware system material on the licensed device. "So you could, for example, install Windows on one physical computer, and then use Virtual PC to run an instance Windows emulated with the same license key, provided you use the Virtual PC in the same physical computer. You can install Windows on a computer physically, and then use Virtual PC to run one instance of Windows emulated with the same license key on a different hardware. Now because the technologies are not really Virtuilization prevailing at the time of XP, the EULA dosent make any specific provision on virtuilization. Therefore, it does not seem reasonable to expect that similar permissions for Windows XP Pro as those mentioned above.
