who's hosting this domain
If you really want to blow up your internet site or online business, it's no secret that you must learn how to quickly and easily increase website traffic, pretty much at will. Not only that, but the prospects you're driving back to your web sites, blogs or affiliate promotional offers should be as specific and highly targeted as possible.
By both enhancing the amount of unique traffic sent and honing in on your ideal web visitor, a lucrative Internet business is sure to follow, irregardless of your chosen model. But, what is the most efficient and rewarding way to go about driving more targeted visitors to any web page, at any time?
That question has been the source of a lot of frustration, time and money by nearly everyone who's ever started an Internet-based business. There are lots of obvious ways to accomplish this task, but most of them are either way too time-consuming or cost far too much of your hard-earned cash. Other online marketing methods qualify for both of these downsides, unfortunately.
I've tried all of the common traffic-getting modalities and although each has it's own unique set of pros and cons, I'd say that article marketing has been the most consistent and rewarding of all.
In marketing your products and services (or affiliate promotions) through article writing, the key is to utilize the most popular, high traffic and fastest indexed directories. Such places that I've used with success include: EzineArticles, Isnare, GoArticles, HubPages, Squidoo, ArticleBase and Buzzle.
Additionally, you can set up a free or paid Blogger or WordPress blog to yourself something more unique, as you can select the perfect domain and design the website however you'd like. If you're just getting started, this isn't necessary, but in the long term it's a great idea.
Remember though, that creating a new website generally takes a great while before it's shown any love in terms of indexing and organic search results. Even with fresh content being posted frequently and consistent building of quality backlinks, a new site or blog has to prove itself before acquiring significant page rank or boosting it's Alexa ranking.
Therefore, I like the idea of starting out your Internet business by taking advantage of other, more established article directories and Web 2.0 sites. These work well for spreading the word about your own products and services, or for the promotion of products and services that others have created for you (known as affiliate marketing).
After making some money and gaining confidence, you can then purchase a domain, hosting and design your own blog or website in addition to the other traffic streams you've already acquired through article marketing.
Having said that, to get the most bang for your buck and really see quick results with article writing, the key is to create a massive linking structure, with everything eventually leading back to your money page.
This is where most marketers fall short with article marketing - they give the process a sub-par effort, which leads to less than optimal results. Additionally, many people looking to increase website traffic with this strategy neglect the power of link building.
Rather than publishing each article with a couple of links that all point back to the money page, a better option would be to have just one of these articles linking to the payout page. You would then want to use the other articles to boost the page rank and significance of that one "go-to" article that links to a sales page.
Taking the extra time to ensure that a few select articles get ranked well is crucial to the entire process panning out.
It's not impractical to see a well-implemented technique like this resulting in your one targeted article being shown on the first page of Google within a few days (for your targeted keyword, of course).
Yet, many times people tend to give up and decide the extra effort involved in this process isn't worth it. I'm not saying it's easy, but I can assure you that the added work will pay off.
Once you're able to get the ball rolling, increase website traffic to any of your associated pages and make a few sales, you can then reinvest some of your profits into obtaining even more visitors in less time.
I discovered a very cool 3-step system that uses a traffic generation process I'd never even heard of before. The plug-and-play method allows for significant increases in highly targeted website traffic on demand. Be sure to check out the free video below to learn more.

hosting websites, domain names, and all that good stuff...?
if i build my own server is it possible to host my own website through my broadband connection, without paying someone for a domain name? or must i go to some company and pay for a domain name regardless of who's server i'm using to host the page?
if this is possible then how to i actually put the site up onto the internet?
i mean i know how to build the server and how to make the webpage but i'm pretty sure if i copy the data onto my server its not just going to magically appear on the web...
PISH! yeah i'll be using linux for the server XD probably ubuntu or debian cause i'm more familiar with them
Well, okay. You gotta pay to register a domain name. but you don;t NEED a domain name to put something on the web. Just to make it easy to find.
Okay. No magic.
You need a static IP address, or DynDNS account. (you get a dorky domain name even!)
a web server (you can build one you said)
and an ISP that allows traffic on port 80.
Then you just put your website in the correct folder (/var/www in a Debian Linux system running Apache.. you WILL be using Linux for your web-server right)
forward the traffic coming in to your router on port 80 to the web server and yes, from there everything is just magically online.
