The first time you start thinking about building your first website we are faced with many options. You must choose a domain name, but also someone to register this domain name. You must decide if we'll use a CMS tool like Joomla or a blog engine like WordPress, or maybe you buy a model of good use. A more options you'll need for this is your hosting service. The right hosting service can be the difference between spending time installing and configuring your site and spend time adding content.
Once you've chosen your hosting you ask a major question. Should I choose a dedicated server or shared? It is not easy either answer to this question. In fact, I can not even in generic sentences so you can adjust the size of the situation and decide, but I'll make some rules and Gotcha and see where we end.
On the surface shared hosting seems a good deal. For example, you can get Go Daddy hosting plan shared for only $ 3.99 per month. The plan will provide 5 GB of disk space and bandwidth of 250 GB for a little more, $ 6.99 and get 100 GB of disk and bandwidth 1000GB. Now I just use Go Daddy as an example, but Host Gator and others are similar, some with prices slightly higher and some a little lower, but they all have the same rules.
Hidden somewhere in your shared hosting contract clause will not monopolize system resources. This means that even if your site is not occupied 99% of the time, if you get a big spike that has the right to extinguish. You see, the factor that matters is not the bandwidth or disk storage, CPU cycles. There is an average CPU cycles during the month, if advanced, even for a short period of time has all shared hosting services will be terminated.
How do I know about the shared server off? It happened twice to me. I'm not complaining, it's the price of having a successful web site, while the payment of holiday trading. In my case, I have a large because I had 8000 hits in one hour. My daily average was 500 visits. It seems that the blog engine that I used used too much CPU time on my shared server, so I closed. Well, thinking you can go to share and reach about 7000, then you can move to dedicated. Maybe it will work, but in another case that ended with only 346 hits. Now, for the 346 cases hit me my host sent the log file and my eyes seemed to me that I was using much CPU at all. It showed my account with the CPU at 100% for 0.2 seconds. She also shown (in another case) my process takes 29 seconds, but using 0% cpu. I think it was a mistaken identity. Have seen their server is slow and looked long ongoing process, but not see the cycles actually taken. The long wait was certainly due to a rush on YouTube vid my site.
Thus, after a full year in two shared hosting accounts, from two different companies, it was time to try my hand at hosting dedicated. One thing you should know about dedicated hosting is that you are running and responsible all aspects of the case. This means that you are "root". Here one more control for processes suspended, no one else to install the software for you, but the best part is that nobody expelled for using too much CPU for 10 seconds of each month.
My shared hosting accounts were $ 6.99 and $ 10 (total of $ 17 per month). My new dedicated hosting account started at $ 79/month, but I found memory and processor in the box and the final price is $ 111/month. It's a big difference when you start and during the first year I saved $ 1,200 is going well, but now I feel to move forward with my site that need the freedom that allows dedicated hosting. The freedom to have a day of work, freedom to succeed.
I'm not afraid of shared hosting, where you are a beginner. It is a great way to get your feet wet establish proof of concept and develop their knowledge, keeping their low cost. Many small businesses or personal pages may never need more than a shared hosting account. For me, one year hosting Shared given my small business long enough to develop enough for me to justify paying for dedicated hosting.
In closing I moved from my current shared hosting accounts to my dedicated hosting account took about two weeks. The first two day knew and learning, then move a few days my best performance of a site and last week was spent to spend the rest of my sites across the cleaning and security to more learning. Ultimately, I chose Go Daddy as my dedicated server. I thought they deserved, at least when I closed in 8000 hits it is conceivable that I was more stressed in my shared account. As to another company, I closed the log file that has not proven 350 hits, sometimes just a mistake and in the area of your website when you experience the best day of your host and most will close without a good reason, it is time to move forward.

DADDY issue of copyright GO Help me please?
Go Daddy copyright issue my question is is it still illegal just to have the embedded videos on my YouTube and Dailymotion no actually hosted on my server. legal agreement that no http://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/legal_agreements/show_doc.asp?pageid=TRADMARK_COPY I guess that's treating me badly ..... I need your answer, because all the world takes video from YouTube and put on your Facebook and MySpace's something that we all arent you?
Embedding videos of other people on your website is a violation of copyright. They are not mistreated, they are simply the implementation of its policies. If you want to show the works of other people a copyright on its Web site, you must obtain permission from the owners. An alternative would be to make a link to the site where the owner has shown the work themselves rather than embed.
